| EdTech Tool Uses: | EssayTagger is a web-based tool that allows you to create rubrics (or use existing ones) for grading essays and then grade the essay using this rubric. Students upload their essays using an assigned teacher code and these essays can then be reviewed by the teacher. When reviewing the essay, the teacher can drag-and-drop the rubric criteria onto the essay where appropriate, enter open comments or indicate an error (such as spelling or grammar). As more and more essays are graded using the rubric, the results are collated and can be analysed by the teacher which allows them to track an individual student's progress over time, analyse overall trends within class groups, etc. |
