| EdTech Tool Uses: | Tagxedo is a free wordcloud generator tool. You can use text from a number of sources: enter a URL or Twitter ID or RSS feed to import text from the web, upload a text file or paste/write text in directly. Lots of options regarding colour schemes, fonts, orientation, layout, etc. Particularly useful is the feature that allows you to define a shape for your wordcloud - either choose from a number of pre-loaded ones or upload your own image to define the shape. You can also customise the wordcloud to remove common or chosen words, etc. The wordcloud that is produced can be saved as JPG or PNG file with a number of filesizes (up as far as 16mb which allows for high-quality printing) and can also be shared directly on Twitter, Facebook, etc. |
